I have been working in design and construction of the built environment since 2007. In the first part (2007-2015) mostly as an architectural designer and site supervisor in East Asia (Japan, China and Cambodia). Since 2018, I started to work in construction management (Nepal) and water and sanitation (Sudan, Liberia, Malawi).
Below a summary of roles that I have been covering in this field.
Water and Sanitation Project Manager | 2021-now | I have worked for Médecins Sans Frontières in liberia and Malawi and ICRC in Sudan. Work tasks included: rehabilitation of water supply lines,water pumps, sanitation facilities in health clinics. Construction of waste area, set-up of segregation and treatment activities.
Construction Manager | 2016-2018 | the biggest project I have managed was the post-earthquake construction of 2 schools and one clinic in Nepal. Task included managing a team of 4, supervising construction quality, managing budget and expense forecasting.
Contractor | 2012-2015 | while in Cambodia I have implemented projects in shelter construction, housing disaster response and community building construction for different INGO and donors such as AUSAid, Habitat for Humanity and People in Need.
Architect and designer | 2006-2012 | I have worked in different design firms in Italy, Japan, China and Nepal designing private houses, public buildings such as schools, factories and offices.
